there are some things that could be improved. maybe you could start with the grass. i believe your work would look better if you photoshop the grass a little, because it's a little too tiled.

I think you're right with the grass, well vray for rhino has a very stiff for this type of organic materials hahaha. I will continue practicing
I have had the same problem with grass a few years ago. Problem is not in tiling of the texture, but in Displacement mapping. This displacement maps on every mesh triangle (polygon) separately and that's why it looks crappy. I recommend you to try different ways of mapping (planar, for example...) good luck

hello nedecky, well I use the planar texture mapping, my question is, is always necessary to convert from nurbs to polygons maya, when it comes to land?
maybe this is the problem try not to convert it to polygons! and if it is necessary, try to use adequate mesh scale, so you don't get weird polygon network.
